Senate fails to cross abortion protections into regulation

The Senate failed to advance a bill protecting abortion rights nationwide after Republicans opposed it. The Democratic-led effort to protect abortion access on the federal level comes after a draft Supreme Court majority opinion indicated the high court may overturn Roe v. Wade.
